Communications Planning Associate Director – London

 Salary – up to 50k depending on experience, plus good standard benefits package, discretionary bonus etc

Working with some of the biggest accounts and brands, this is a great career move for a senior Comms Planning Manager or Comms Planning AD.

  • Plan and deliver outstanding client service for one or more clients, delivering innovative and ambitious client solutions
  • Deliver financial targets growing revenue and tracking progress
  • Be an ambassador for the company, connecting across internal and external networks to help deliver the operating model and build the brand reputations of our client.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with the Business Director and Client Director to focus team resource on looking for new ways to grow business profitably and deliver financial targets
  • Understand the scope and content of client contract and lead team to work within
  • the contract constraints (eg credit insurance limits)
  • Manage systems for forecasting accurate spend and track progress
  • Connect credibly with client and industry stakeholders at senior brand manager and head of marketing level. Manage team to ensure they build strong relationships with their counterparts to deliver excellent client service
  • Know and understand the client, their business/brand, their customer, their industry, target customers and who their competitors are – use to deliver innovative, ambitious client plans and service
  • Manage Integrated Communications Planning process – take responsibility for comms plan content to ensure that it delivers innovative on-brief, ambitious solutions that balance client and agency value
  • Project manage team to deliver excellent plan execution:
  • Analyse relevant data eg spot targets and recommend and action required changes (with BC/CD sign off)

  • Focus team on delivering accurate and timely plan  – relentlessly looking for new and better ways of doing things
  • Ensure regular status updates with team, client and specialists – make sure specialists and media owners have the plan detail they need
  • Manage a team of 1 Manager, 2 Execs and 1 Assistant

What you’ll need:

  • Experience of working within a Media Agency environment or within the Media/Marketing industry
  • Experience of working at a minimum of Senior Account Manager level or above
  • People and project management
  • Commercial  – selling value, negotiation, client relationship mgt skills, how to be a trusted business advisor
  • Strategic thinking
  • Strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills
