Skills and Responsibilities

The role of manager on the account represents a pivotal position within the team.The successful candidate will be expected to produce robust planning documents, based on insight and strategy and imaginatively execute this into plans. To enable this they will have an excellent working knowledge of all planning systems and tools and be able to share and teach this knowledge to more junior team members.

They will be responsible for ensuring that the day to day deliverables are completed with total accuracy and on time, this requires excellent excel skills and the ability to work independently within client defined deadlines. This is a client facing role so a certain level of confidence and maturity is required along with a desire to learn and understand more about the client’s world and build relationships with the junior team at the account.

In addition as Account manager you will be responsible (along with the junior ream) for managing the financial processes across the business e.g. PO’s, DDS bookings etc. There is also a degree of data management required to ensure that all external research agencies have the necessary data to produce business critical reports.

As manager you will work within a team comprising of 1 x graduate, 1 x planner, 1 x additional manager, 2 x planning associate directors, 1 strategy AD and a Business Director. They will have a least 1 direct report into them.

Qualities and Experience 

Our Client is looking for a media planning professional with 3-4 years’ relevant experience (at least 1 at manager level). A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  •  Courage, curiosity and optimism
  •  Strategic ability and a willingness to grow in this area
  • Excellent attention to detail & well established organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent cross media grounding, specifically with TV planning experience
  • Strong numeracy skills, ideally with experience of Performance measurement
  •  Quick thinking, proactive and willing to challenge colleagues, media owners and clients
  •  Confident and convincing presentation skills
