The client sales team is a highly successful team which has consistently out-performed the market. Our work is all multimedia sales and thus working for the client is varied, challenging and exciting. We are a team of ten, based in Central London. Our digital offering is a fantastic compliment to the broad range of print and ambient opportunities we offer throughout the passenger journey. The majority of our digital inventory is available globally. Revenue derived from this platform contributes a significant return.
We have a vacant position on this sales team for a Digital Sales Executive/Account Manager due to expansion in the digital part of the portfolio.
Our client digital sell is slightly different to that of a generic media owner – as well as standard format advertising we have high profile integrated advertising opportunities on the home page which click through to content within the site (either existing or created bespoke). Similar to other travel websites, these advertising opportunities are only available to partners (hotels and tourist boards). It is this area of advertising which requires our focus.
In addition, we also work closely with our client to help identify new parts of the site (and other digital assets) which can be monetised. This is an on going process and we are continually adding inventory to our portfolio in order to grow revenue. Working with our Digital Ad Manager to identify and develop new revenue opportunities is part of this exciting role.
We require a digital sales executive to join our team and sell advertising to non-conflicting travel clients (direct and via agency) and digital agencies in order to maximise sales across bespoke and generic inventory. Where apt, and when dealing with direct clients, the sales exec will also sell across the other parts of the portfolio since the majority of our advertisers purchase more than one form of media for their campaign.
The executive will be expected to deputise for the Ad Manger when apt. This includes assisting other team members with digital proposals and checking available inventory. We are happy to provide on-the-job training in order to get the right candidate up to speed.
When apt and/or delegated by the Ad Manager the candidate will also be involved with helping to identify other digital ad opportunities across the clients other digital clients and potentially help out on work for new business pitches.
The role will suit someone who is looking for their second job in media. We are looking for a creative sales person who is proactive and is keen to increase their digital skills while also working across a number of other media platforms.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of two years’ digital sales experience and that experience being relevant, client/content wise, to our media. Eg, travel and tourism.
A good track record in creative/bespoke online selling is essential, likewise, a proven track record of digital sales success.
Multimedia sales experience would be a distinct advantage – note, we do not consider just a combination of print and online as truly multimedia.
