The Opportunity

Our client believes they differentiate their selves in the market by bringing the most innovative solutions to our clients. The Innovation team is all about making new exciting ideas come to life, doing something that hasn’t been done before to deliver better results for our clients.

At its core the purpose of the role is to:

  • Drive original thinking – looking to make new connections and challenge clients and the agency to do things differently
  • Create new revenue streams – develop solutions that go beyond standard media and pull in the expertise of the wider group to drive additional revenue
  • Be connected – regularly meet with media owners, tech start ups and key specialists in the wider group to stay abreast of developments to bring new thinking into briefs. Work closely with strategists and planners to understand client’s business challenges and spot opportunities
  • Be an ambassador for new 10% technology – able to talk about the latest developments in digital media and technology and the impact it will have on consumers.
  • Brilliant solutions – answering briefs and presenting solutions to clients that realise the true potential of technology and media, then being able to make those ideas happen through our partners.

Key responsibilities

Delivering Innovative Client Solutions

  • Work closely with the Creative Solutions Team to create more innovative partnerships, that go beyond paid media
  • Identify and champion new services (e.g. social, mobile, content, data, gaming, etc) into key clients that drives additional revenue for the company
  • Develop and present proposals that bring to life the idea and how it can be delivered
  • Forge strong working relationships with key media and technology partners
  • Build strong working relationships with Tech City and the various start-up communities that exist there
  • Be seen by the client as the go to person for new thinking and developments relevant to their business and target audience

Delivery Excellence

  • Present confidently and with impact
  • Be able to tell a story around your recommendation that shows how the solution will connect with consumers and delivers value to the client’s business

    Internal responsibilities

    • Champions of Creativity – not only be creative but help others generate ideas through facilitation
    • Mentoring – mentor junior members of the planning team so they feel inspired to produce great ideas and great work
    • Innovation Applied– Work with other members of the team to deliver regular Innovation Applied session, where they explore new trends and campaigns then apply them to demonstrate their relevance to our clients business
    • New Business –  Ensure that digital is seamlessly integrated into all pitch responses from the start
