The Client

Our client is a thriving international media agency. This role focuses on leading a number of high profile clients.

The Opportunity

This person will be responsible for championing the development of Performance marketing expertise in their team as well as the wider agency.

As AD the role will involve client contact at a senior level and will therefore require the ability to develop and drive clear multimedia acquisition strategies.  The individual will also be expected to contribute towardsnew business pitches as we look to further grow the Performance team.  A desire to grow data understanding across the team and the clients is a must too, as we would expect our ADs to commit to a data-driven approach to performance planning.

Over the last 2-3 years the Performance client list has grown and we have seen more clients return to the TV market, so a talented individual with knowledge of the TV landscape would be preferred.

The individual should have high standards in pulling together clear and concise documentation in order to sell strategies and be very comfortable presenting these to senior clients.  They should also have experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders within the same organization while ensuring they are the central conduit for effective account integration.

Finally, we pride ourselves on our very strong client relationships and therefore the individual needs to have strong client servicing skills.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have fantastic account handling, analytical and strategic skills using research, wider comms industry trends and analytics to devise strategies as well as highlighting new areas of growth for the department. As much as the individual is expected to be a Performance expert, we also want them to understand the dynamics of brand advertising and consumer insight that can complement Performance campaigns.

This person should be comfortable and pro-active in developing new processes, tools and systems to provide a step-change in the department’s level of performance – including methods for creating, organising and reporting. We want someone that is prepared to critique and improve processes they believe can be better.

As an Associate Director, you will also need to demonstrate previous leadership and management skills as well as excellent co-ordination and interpersonal skills.  This person could come from a media agency/communications agency background or from a client.  Provided they can demonstrate the skills and knowledge we require.
