The Role:

To run a Search team to deliver cutting edge and integrated search campaigns for designated clients. Be ultimately responsible for the quality of the client team’s search product and lead the search team in strategy and innovation

Key Accountabilities:

Amazing Search Output:

  • Analyse and interpret search results to drive future client marketing strategies
  • Pitch for new client opportunities
  • Directly manager search bidding and optimization for key strategic accounts
  • Develop best practice processes for optimizing search marketing campaigns
  • Determine set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization modelling requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of optimization efforts
  • Provide product management with strong knowledge of campaign needs and the implementation processes created to support them
  • Manage and maximize value of clients’ budget in all media negotiations, by setting and monitoring negotiation/buying target for team members
  • Handle strategic analysis including evaluation of key trends and client results data
  • Play a lead role in new business pitches when Search is involved working closely with the head of other departments in compiling winning pitch documents/presentations

  • Develop Search strategies alongside client teams to ensure they are integrated, brilliant and deliver upon client objectives
  • A curious mind that keeps abreast of the changing landscape and confidence to put new ideas in front of clients with absolute convictions
  • Responsible for success of clients’ campaigns through successful management and optimization of search and social CPC campaigns
  • Consult with publishers to build strategy and accounts to achieve client KPIs
  • Manager key publisher relationships

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding all client needs from a Search perspective
  • Ensuring clients remain up to speed with the changing Search landscape and opportunities that the channel presents.
  • Developing excellent client relationships to ensure that clients are comfortable about all recommendations
  • Provide inspiring search strategy for tier 1 clients
  • Consult with clients to ensure development & alignment for search strategies across online and offline channels
  • Provide strategic insights for clients into performance drivers

  • Participates in culture-based initiatives and encourages Search Team to participate as well

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing/ Comms would be ideal

Critical Competencies/skills:

  • Be able to develop and write Search strategies in a broader communications environment and have a proven track record of operational delivery
  • Be capable of building good relationships with senior level clients and media owners.
  • Be a dynamic personality, who can proactively lead and inspire the team
  • Be a confident and inspiring presenter who is well known in the digital media industry
  • Strong knowledge of analytical methodologies for optimizing and evaluating multichannel marketing campaigns (i.e., segmentation, predictive response models, etc)
  • Strong knowledge of online marketing best practices
  • Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly
  • MS Office fluency; including MS Access. Experience with VBA/Excel Macros, SQL, SAS, or other data manipulation tools a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Should want to work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere and ability to be a self-starter
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Internet advertising industry
  • Management experience

Experience ( Technical and Behavioural):

Essential:

  • Be a seasoned Search practitioner and Leader, ideally from a large specialist team within an integrated media agency environment
  • 3+ years in Internet/online advertising industry
  • Experience with latest generation bid management solutions (PPC) ?
  • GAP Qualified

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of 3rd party advertising tags, ad serving and ad operations, knowledge of advancements in online media planning buying and algorithmic optimisation
